Ron of Argyll 3 day 2 night Whitsunday Island sailing adventure for Airlie BeachSteeped in history and romance, Ron Of Argyll was built in Scotland in 1928 as a gentleman's yacht. Crafted by hand in teak and mahogany and crewed by King George V, she now sails the beautiful Whitsundays Islands.

The Whitsunday Islands is an exquisite group of 74 Islands in the central part of the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park providing great sailing during the day and sheltered anchorages in the evenings. Fringing coral reefs around the islands provides a great range of hard and soft corals, and snorkeling enthusiasts.

Your adventure may take you to a variety of locations including Whitehaven beach, Blue Pearl Bay, Langford Reef, Nara Inlet, Cid Harbour, Border Island and many other wonders. Each sailing cruise is tailored to specially suit the needs of the guests and the prevailing weather conditions.

You can join in and help with the sailing or just sit back and enjoy the surrounding. Try snorkeling with hundreds of different species of fish, go bush walking and feel one with the rainforest, what ever your pleasure the “Ronnie” has a recipe for you.

Additional Information

What to Bring: It would be appreciated that you limit the amount of luggage you take on board, and recommend soft sided luggage. Swimmers, beach towel, sunscreen, hat, sunglasses, camera, spare film / batteries, sandals or joggers for island bush walk, favourite music CDs/Ipods, a sweater for cooler evenings. If you have larger luggage that you would like to store, storage facilities are available at most accommodation houses in Airlie Beach, or there is a store across the road from the check in office
